Qualifications:

Candidates must have at least Bachelor's / College Degree and /or Diploma in Aviation from a recognized university is preferable
Successful completion of a course in Aviation Security with AITA /ICAO or a similar aviation organization or other recognized airlines
The job requires Male applicants only
Minimum of 5 years working experience in airline or in a GHA in an international airport in a Senior Security postion covering all airport areas out of which minimum 3 years as a security trainer.
- Experience in a Police or an armed force will be an added qualification.
- Must be holding a valid approval /certificates as a security trainier approved/issued by a competednt civil aviation authority.
- Must be computer literate to handle alltraining material and presentations.
- Ability to conduct training in other aviation subjects will be an added advantage
- Must have good language skills both oral and written and presentation skills as a trainer.
- Ability to read , write and speak Arabic and other languages other than English will be an added advantage.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Be responsible for all aspects of Security training in different areas of the airport,
Set-up objectives, design/plan aviation security courses/modules for different categories of staff.
Conduct the above courses/modules as per the requirement of the line departments
Conduct tests, evaluate the participants in the above courses and forward the results to the line departments
Issue certificates to the successful participants and if permitted, organize re-sits for those who have failed. Maintain records of the tests, results and the issue of certificates.
If requested, conduct training need analysis(TNA) for the line departments and find out what type of training is required for the staff as per their Job Descriptions and real job activities and design new courses.
Prepare all the training material, the presentations and the hand-outs.
Refer to the manuals and other reference material such as memos/bulletins and update the training material in a regular interval.
Attend refresher training and update oneself with the changes and new policies as per IATA, ICAO and local Aviation Authority.
Keep all approvals up-to-date to conduct the training.
Keep Oman Air’s network stations up-to-date with Security training requirements.
Liaise with the Sr. Registrar for the training calendar and its changes and training must be conducted as per the plan.
Update oneself with the new technologies involved and use them effectively.
Follow new training methods.
Assist line departments with expert security advice and act as a consultant if requested and participate in projects undertaken by the Company.
Provide coaching and mentoring assistance to the participants.
Be a role model in the department especially with the beginners.
Attend to other administration activities in the LD department.
Complete any other tasks requested by the SMLD or AMFE.
Be prepared to face the auditors coming from airlines , IOSA, ISAGO and other authorities from time to time.
Work in line with the ISO 2008 requirements and help maintain the quality and standards in the LD department.
Follow the rules issued by the Company with regard to Security, Safety and Environment.
Liaise with ROP and incorporate their local requirements in the training.
Keep all the Security Manuals in LD department updated.
