Required for Australia


Core Responsibilities:

Waterproofing
Understand and apply Australian waterproofing standards.
Must know how to use bond breakers and water stops correctly.
Able to work with various waterproofing products and prepare surfaces accordingly.


Grouting & Silicone Application

Confident in colour matching, application, and finishing of grout and silicone.
Must understand expansion joint placement and silicone spacing per standards.


Screed Bedding

Ability to mix screed to the correct ratio.
Confident in creating proper falls and cross-falls, especially under large format tiles.


Tiling

Strong ability in tile set-out and layout planning.
Experienced in preparing uneven substrates.
Use of tile levelling systems, clip spacers, and proper notching techniques.
Confident with mitred edges, stair nosings, pool tiling, and detail work.
Comfortable using hand tools, grinders, and tile cutters.


Stone Tiling

Ability to cut and shape stone on a wet saw.
Understanding of stone behavior, adhesives, and sealing processes.
Skilled in mitred epoxy corners and clean stone presentation.




Tile Repairs



Able to remove tiles cleanly and safely without damaging surrounding areas.
Knowledge of substrate inspection and prep before reinstallation.
Skilled in matching grout, tile patterns, and finishes for seamless repairs.




Paver Pedestal Systems



Preferred experience but can be taught on-site.
Must be willing to work outdoors and follow fall requirements carefully.




Safety Awareness



Strong understanding of safe work practices, including correct use of PPE.
Must use grinders and cutting tools with vacuum extraction systems to minimize dust.
General awareness of site safety, hazard reporting, and clean work areas.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in tiling and associated trades.
Solid understanding of Australian tiling standards and tolerances.
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Willingness to learn new methods, travel to various job sites, and work within a team.
Attention to quality, cleanliness, and site safety at all times.


Qualifications & Experience

Candidate must be college graduate or at least 1 year post graduate in college.
With minimum 3 years’ experience with relevant experience as a Tiler.
